Committees

Volunteer opportunities include serving on one of the PCC committees responsible for developing and maintaining certification programs or utilizing one’s expertise to develop certification examination questions as a subject matter expert. Participation in these activities is professionally rewarding and receives industry-wide recognition.

TO JOIN a committee submit a current CV (WORD document) and write a statement (WORD document) explaining what part of your education/work experience is most applicable to the mission of the committee and why you feel you will add value to the committee.

Eligibility Committee

The Professional Certification Commission (PCC) Eligibility Committee (EC) is charged with assisting the PCC in its responsibilities by developing, implementing and monitoring fair and defensible eligibility requirements and recommending these requirements to the PCC. The EC is also charged with developing and monitoring the process for determining eligibility of candidates to sit for the examination. The Committee may also be assigned other duties related to candidate eligibility by the PCC.

Examination Development Committee

The Examination Development Committee (EDC) is charged with assisting the Professional Certification Commission (PCC) in its responsibilities to develop examinations, ensure content validity, monitor the performance of examinations, and any other duties that may be assigned by the PCC.

Recertification Committee

The Professional Certification Commission (PCC) Recertification Committee (RC) is charged with assisting the PCC in its responsibilities by developing, implementing and monitoring recertification requirements and recommending these requirements to the PCC. The RC is also charged with assessing recertification applications for determining compliance with the minimum requirements. The Committee may also be assigned other duties related to candidate eligibility by the PCC.

Appeals Committee

The Professional Certification Commission (PCC) Appeals Committee (AC) is charged with assisting the PCC in its responsibilities by reviewing all eligibility and examination appeals submitted by certification candidates.
